Maharashtra has historical as well as geographical importance. Many geographical wonders can be seen in our Sahyadri. One of them is a Nedhe, which is a naturally formed hole in the rock. We may know the Nedhe on famous forts like Rajgad and Ratangad, but Nedhe can be seen in some other places as well. One of them is the Irshalgad fort.

It may have gotten its name because of the temple of Irshal Devi at the base of the fort. Also, a village of 20-25 houses near the temple is Irshalwadi. The fort trek starts from Manivali village near Morbe dam in Chowk in Raigad district. After trekking for one and a half to two hours, one has to come to Irshalwadi first, and from there one can reach the fort after trekking for half an hour. Between Wadi and the fort, you will meet the temple of Devi. One can go to Nedhe, and another such temple is also near Nedhe.
